During the spring semester of 2001, Elite Bold Opulent Noble Young Women were founded by 13 lovely ladies. These women had a vision to improve the quality of life on Northern Illinois University’s campus.
Led by Elektra Thompson, the ladies all collaborated to construct the foundation of a new organization.
E.B.O.N.Y. Women was then created to support, uplift and unify all women on campus.

OUR MISSION
“We the ladies of Elite Bold Opulent Noble Young Women are here to create unity, uplift women, and promote leadership on the campus of Northern Illinois University. We want to expand our leadership, use our voices and demonstrate our attributes to the surrounding areas. We intend to unify all women so that we are as one; embracing one another, sharing one reflection of ourselves.”
OUR VISION
The vision of E.B.O.N.Y. Women is to make sure that we are known for our excellence, pride, leadership, professionalism, and creativity. We are a unique group with different voices, each one telling a different story. We want our ladies to discover and develop their talents, abilities, spirits, and hearts. The ideal future would be to take this organization to the next level of pure professionalism; while having that woman to woman relationship we keep until this day.
